Our work with loggers

A New Way of Doing Business in Our Forests and Communities!

ASD promotes the utilization of both animal-powered and mechanized logging systems and practices that minimize environmental impacts while guaranteeing the long-term health, integrity, and productivity of the forest. Our work with loggers includes:

training and education in timber harvesting practices and other aspects of business operations that are ecologically, economically, and socially sound,
promotion of environmentally sensitive timber harvest technologies, equipment, and systems,
identification of logging contracts/jobs,
payment systems that reward environmental performance.
